Thanksgiving Prep With Milk & Eggs

This might be one of my favorite times of the year, as I'm sure it's yours too. Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I'm betting... well, we'll end up sifting through crazy grocery store aisles on the hunt for the same things as everyone else (I know, we never plan it that way, but it happens).

If you're local to the Los Angeles area, then ordering online might be your best friend. A few months ago I started ordering my groceries from Milk & Eggs– a local, free grocery delivery service that offers a variety of organic, fresh foods. It's been the easiest way to get everything I need right to my door the next day, and there's the option of a one-time purchase or a subscription. (See my first experience here)

I also ordered my essentials for Thanksgiving and loved their new selection (they keep adding new things all the time) and wanted to share a bit of my spread.

If you'd like to try it out, you can use my code: meldenisse for $15 off $35 or more :)

Not to mention, I love how they always update their new items on the homepage, as well as new recipes and ideas using their food if you ever need ideas:

Glimpses in Fall

Captured a few moments from my weekend visiting Petals and Pop; a floral shop that fueled my soul with their romantic ethereal arrangements. LA is a little slower to the Fall season, so finding any spaces to capture that has been much needed.

Made a visit to Rancho Los Alamitos and their space was so peaceful to set up a spot and soak it in for a while. It was my first time visiting and already can't wait to be back.

Lastly, this little beauty couldn't have been a more perfect addition to my weekend. I had a painting made for me that summed up a beautiful part of life's process: duality: from death to life. Throughout everything we face, a part of us has inevitably experienced pain and something in us has 'died', so to speak. But when has there not been something beautiful that's grown from it? We experience that duality constantly.

21c Hotel Museum // Nashville

Last weekend I got to spend a few days in Nashville again. I've missed it so much and every time I'm back, it seems to have grown more and more. I was so happy to be hosted by 21c Hotel Museum during my stay. They're a boutique hotel that's half known as a contemporary art museum throughout the entire building. It was beautiful to walk through the halls with the interactive art, along with a dark theater room with instrumental music playing and a projector showcasing various images to escape.

If you're ever visiting Nashville, this is a must stay. It's close to everything and there's nothing short of inspiration in each corner of the hotel.

A Weekend In London

A Weekend In London // Mel Denisse

Hello from LA! I'm currently recovering from jet lag from my 2 week trip to Istanbul and London. The last time I traveled overseas, I lived on the east coast, so switching to a 10 hour difference hit me a little harder this time around :-P

This past weekend in London was a dream. I've been waiting to go for years, and finally made it happen. I can say that it might've been one of my favorite trips I've ever taken. I had no agenda other than to just get out of my routine and be inspired all over again. Almost every sight left me in awe. There were so many highlights but I'll let the photos speak for them self:

I can't wait to be back since I didn't even get close to exploring all there was to see, but this was a great start. Also thanks to Airbnb for the beautiful stay in Notting Hill :). Hope you enjoyed!
